With its beautiful Andean highlands and welcoming people will allow your group the experience of a lifetime. Whether it is living with families in a small village or rafting the Rio Blanco, Ecuador is the perfect country for safe travel.
After flying into the capital city of Quito for orientation and a tour of the most northern Incan Empire ruins, we travel to a small mountain community. Here we will work with locals to renovate a daycare center, build and repair roads and homes, and share in the rich culture of rural Ecuador.
If your group chooses, you will spend 6-14 days in a beautiful village on the high plain north west of Quito. Here
- You cooperate with locals on valuable service learning projects and live with local families. This experience will not only improve your Spanish but will allow you the opportunity to become part of an Ecuadorian family forever.
- Daily we work on projects while meals and evenings are spent with your home stay families or as a group in the casa communal.
- Working at the day care center
- Planting with the women at the organic farm
- Making and bottling jams at the community factory to be sold in Quito;
